The Derbyshire Domestic Abuse Helpline is facilitated by The Elm Foundation a safe, welcoming, supportive place for any man, woman or child affected by domestic abuse.

A friendly, informal, peaceful haven in which you can talk freely and make sense of your thoughts. A hub that can provide the advice, support and tools you may need to change your situation; where you will feel empowered to take back control of your life.

Victim Support:Victim Support are there to help victims of domestic abuse or anyone affected by crime. Not only those who experience it directly, but also their friends, family and any other people involved.

It doesn’t matter when the crime took place, or whether you’ve reported it to the police. You can get help at any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They’re independent from the police, and their support is free and confidential.

SAIL: 

SAIL’s support services are available for survivors of sexual violence and abuse. The services cover Derbyshire and Derby City. We provide; Therapy (Remote or face to face dependent on assessment and locality) Support, ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors – no current waiting list for clients) and Helpline. SAIL support’s any survivor 18+ Male or female of sexual violence, abuse in all forms, and are specialists regarding incest.

SV2: 

SV2 is a charity commissioned by NHS England, Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire County Council to provide the County’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) service.

This service includes forensic medical examinations, crisis worker support, Advice Line and support from Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs). We work in partnership with the police but independently in order to advocate for anyone who accesses our services.

Your Journey Booklet

Deciding whether to report a rape or sexual assault can be difficult and very personal. ‘Your Journey – Sexual violence – a survivor’s guide to support and reporting’ has been written to provide information on the options available for reporting a sexual violence offence, and accessing specialist sexual violence support in Derbyshire.
