Prescriptions

There are several ways in which you can order repeat prescriptions:

The NHS App

The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services and information on your smartphone or tablet. Millions of people are already using the NHS App to manage their health the easy way from the comfort of their homes. The NHS App enables you to manage repeat prescriptions and easily change your nominated pharmacy, so you can send orders when it’s convenient for you.

For more information, including how to download the NHS App, please visit www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.

Medicines Order Line

You can request your repeat medications via calling as below.

Medicines Order Line on 01246 588 860. The line is open Mon-Fri between 09:00am and 4:00pm, although these times may be subject to change.

Request a call back to order your prescription

The Medicines Order Line is receiving a very high volume of calls. To save you from waiting we have introduced a call back system which you can request by sending an email to our Medicines Order Line inbox. To do this, follow the easy steps to below:

Send your email to ddccg.northMOLonlinerequests@nhs.net including all the above information.

Alternatively, you can complete the Medicines Order Line online form here

You are still able to order via SystmOnline and at reception

You can order prescriptions online and will need a Username and Password.

If you already have the new login details – CLICK HERE

If you do not have new login details – you can request these from your usual reception. (please bring photo ID and proof of address)

Please note – We are unable to hand details to a third party or send them to a pharmacy with your prescription. They need to be collected in person from one of our Receptions.

Also, the online medication node is for ordering medication only. Any notes added to medication requests may get overlooked or missed.

If you need to speak to a GP or receptionist please call the surgery on 01773 602707

Paper Repeat Prescriptions

Use the tear-off slip attached to your previous prescription. Tick each item you need and hand this in at the surgery or post it to us. If this is lost, simply write down the items you require along with your name, address and date of birth.

Please allow us two working days (48 hours excluding weekends and bank holidays) before coming to collect a routine repeat prescription from us. We do not accept prescription requests over the telephone and therefore we ask for the request in writing to minimise the possibility of a mistake occurring.

Some local chemists offer a collection service for prescriptions when they collect from the surgery and make up your prescription ready to collect. Please ask at reception or your local chemist if you think this may help.

If you let us have a stamped, addressed envelope we will post your prescription on to you but please allow extra time for this.
